The 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle typically comes with a four-speed manual transmission or an optional three-speed automatic transmission. The manual transmission is a Type 1 transmission, which is well-known for its durability and simplicity. Some models may also have a later version of the automatic transmission known as the "TorqueFlite" or "VW Automatic." Overall, the choice between these transmissions depends on the specific configuration of the vehicle.
To change the transmission mount on a 1973 Super Beetle, first, safely lift and secure the vehicle. Remove the bolts securing the transmission to the mount, then support the transmission with a jack. Unbolt the old mount from the chassis and install the new mount in its place. Finally, reattach the transmission to the new mount and lower the vehicle, ensuring all bolts are tightened to the manufacturer's specifications.

The super beetle was not put into production until 1971, there is no such vehicle as a 1964 super beetle.
