that car was available with a gas or diesel engine, I'm assuming you mean what grade of fuel in recommended for the gas engine. It is recommended to use the highest octane, it will run better and smoother, as well as improving your gas mileage and improving power.I tried low grade fuel ( 86 ) one time and immediately felt the power loss and heard pinging. If you love your car, give it what it deserves for all it's hard work and it will continue to work for you for years to come.
Can u use regular unleaded gasoline in 1987 Mercedes Benz 300e
0w-40
supreme fuel
You should use Premium. It should say that on the dash by the gas gauge. My 1990 300e does. Hope this helps. I have never had a problem with Regular gas instead of Premium in my 87 300E. As long as you have a good strong spark and clean fuel injectors. I would recommend "Bosch Platinum +2 Spark Plugs" they have twice the spark so you will feel the power increase after you replace your pugs.

The spark plug gap for a 1989 Mercedes Benz 300E is typically set at 0.028 to 0.032 inches (0.7 to 0.8 mm). It's important to check the specifications in the owner's manual or service manual, as variations can exist based on specific engine configurations. Proper gap settings ensure optimal performance and fuel efficiency. Always use the recommended spark plugs for best results.
