Doesn't the C5 have the full Citroen Hydraulic suspension system? If so I'd expect the power steering system to be part of that, so it isn't topped up separately but fed from the main system for which you must use the genuine Citroen mineral-based stuff or a trusted alternative, because any of the "Conventional" types will ruin your fluid.
