To prevent the engine oil sludge build-up, VW recommends Mobil 1 0w-40. This is a "European car" formula also recommended by Mercedes-Benz for it's gasoline-engined vehicles, especially the high-performance AMG models. Also, the larger engine oil filter is recommended by VW to minimize the sludge problem. As far as I know, the "special oil", and larger oil filter are recommended only for the inline 4 cylinder 1.8T engines. Not for the transverse 1.8T engined New Beetle. The larger oil filter, and it is MUCH larger, may have been originally intended for a Diesel-engined VW car, but now it helps fight sludge on the later model 1.8T Passats.
take it to a garage
The car or vehical was too old.
5t-26 = 18t -26 = 18t -5t -26 = 13t t = -2
18t + 4x -47t + 50x = -29t + 54x
The car can not go fast enough to hit the governer on it. i have been up to 135 in my passat engine never cut out edit: i beg to differ with this answer i took my 99 passat GLS out on the highway and hit 135 the engine shut down until my speed dropped to like 95ish so there is a governor and these cars CAN and WILL hit the max speed i know people that race them and they will tell you the same thing
They're the same.

No such thing. The Audi's thermostat has a wax impeller.
