2000
I purchased a new Peugeot 106, Independence in March 2002 and it did not have power steering. I believe that power steering was introduced later in the year, so there are probably a mixture of 106 cars from 2002 with and without power steering.

hi i have a pug 106 independance an the power steering pump is located just behind the front bumper on the passengers side
im sorry to say but the peugeot 106 pump always goes on the car it can be easily be fixed! go to a scrap yard and you can get the pump for £90 goodluck
yes, but u need to buy a 106 first. coz the wheel is proportionally smaller like the car. the steering wheel is 2.63inches smaller so u need to turn it less to go around a corner so not a good idea.
In a Peugeot 106 Zest 2 (51 plate), the power steering fuse is typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. You can find the fuse box by opening the driver's door and looking beneath the steering column. The specific fuse for power steering is usually labeled in the fuse diagram found on the cover or in the owner's manual. Always ensure to check the fuse ratings and replace it with the correct type if needed.
To change the indicator arm on a Peugeot 106, first disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Remove the steering wheel by unscrewing the central nut and using a steering wheel puller if necessary. Then, detach the plastic steering column shroud and locate the indicator arm assembly, which is typically secured with screws. Replace the old arm with the new one, reassemble the steering column, and reconnect the battery.
You need to undo the two locking pins on the side, then take the steering wheel off, only in a straight angle. Dont forget to remove the casing aroung the steering column
The Peugeot 106 "Quicksilver" model was first introduced in 1991. There were several 106 models on offer at the time but in 1998, the range was reduced but the Quicksilver model remained in production.
The 106 GTI Peugeot vehicle was in production from 1996-1999 as a French vehicle. The original Peugeot vehicle was first introduced in the fall of 1991.
In a Peugeot 106, the power steering fluid reservoir is typically located under the bonnet, near the engine. Look for a small, translucent container with a cap that may have a steering wheel icon on it. If you’re having trouble finding it, consult the owner's manual for your specific model year, as the placement can vary slightly. Make sure the engine is off and cool before checking or adding fluid.
