I'm almost certain it's under the intake manifold
The intake air temperature sensor on a 1992 Toyota 4Runner will be found on the intake system. The unit is clipped into the plastic piping of the intake.
It is on the intake manifold closes to the TBI, it will be the black one.
The 1992 Ford F2 50 pickup truck 5.8 liter engine coolant temperature sensor can be found on the top of the engine. The coolant temperature sensor will be near the intake manifold.
It didn't look like anything as they didn't make a 1992 GTO.
The IAT Sensor on a 1992 Geo Tracker is the Intake Air Temperature Sensor. Replacing the air filter might fix this problem.
Try looking on the EGR valve underneath the intake manifold.
You should be able to locate the " intake air temperature " sensor under the air filter, In the filter box.
Its in the air cleaner lid towards the rear.

The IAT sensor in most GM vehicles is mounted in the air cleaner housing. Will be a small sensor with two wires running to it. Usually just clips in.
On the intake manifold near the thermostat housing. It will be two wires a yellow and one black wire.
Just below the intake manifold.
