Blown fuse? Bad blower motor? Bad blower motor resistor? Bad blower motor switch?
The blower motor on a 1998 Mercedes E320 is located inside the cabin, beneath the dashboard on the passenger side. To access it, you typically need to remove the glove compartment and possibly some surrounding panels. The blower motor is mounted to the HVAC housing and is responsible for circulating air through the car's ventilation system.
Take it into the shop. It's a whole lot easier.
Probably the blower motor resistor, check blower motor at the same time
the impeller are the fan blades themselves.
Blown fuse? Bad switch?
The blower motor resister block is located in the center of the dash. Remove the complete glovebox and look to the left and you will see it...............
It's under the passenger side under dash paneling. Their should be two or three screws you need to remove to get the panel down. You'll see the electrical plug going to blower motor. Remove the blower motor cover and you'll have access to blower and regulator.
You most likely blew a fuse and have a bad blower motor resistor assembly
The Blower motor for the E320 is located on the upper front left side of the engine directly above the water pump. The blower motor is NOT in the engine compartment! The "blower motor" above the water pump is the EGR/Smog pump, part of the emissions system. The actual blower motor for the HVAC system is under the dash, above your feet on the passenger side of the car, just remove the panel and look up. The filters are located behind the glove box (which has to be removed to access the filters). They clog and don't allow the air to blow and eventually will burn out the regulator on the blower motor itself. There are also 2 separate charcoal filters next to the blower motor under the dash that filter smog from the cabin, these are not as crucial to replace, but should be done at some point. (total of 4 filters 96-02 Eclass).
On the passenger side under the dash is the blower motor held in with 3 small screws. First unplug the wire harness to the blower and remove the 3 screws. Installation is in the reverse order
Does blower motor run?
