Type your answer here... Where IS Cambshaft sensor in 2000 gmc 1500 and what does it do
Maybe this will help a little.....I know its not the same year.... On my friends 2002 V W Passat, its located at the end of the head. The round cap/ electrical hub, on the camshaft. ^^
The cam sensor is in the distributor.
The cam sensor is located in the distributor. The cost of a distributor is about $250.00 and up. get the cam sensor checked first, then if needed, replace. Use a Haynes Manual or something else to guide you thru the replacement process. It's easy to do.
The cam sensor is integral to the distributor. The distributor is not repairable and must be replaced as an assembly except distributor cap and rotor head.
That year did not have a cam sensor.
The cam sensor is located in the distributor once you take off the rotor you should be able to see it. Mine was just done about 2 weeks ago.
The 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass cam sensor is located on the back of the left cylinder head. The cam sensor should be labeled as such.
It is called a Throttle Position Sensor (TPS), and is located on the throttle body butterfly cross shaft opposite the throttle cable cam.
were is the cam shaft sensor
The cam sensor is located on the left side of the engine (as your looking at it) on the valve cover
Cam position is taken from the distributor, there is no external cam sensor.
