The voltage regulator is built into the alternator.
Remove the breather, and it will be located on the back of the throttle body.
Depending on the engine, if your car has the v-8, the fuel pressure is regulated by the fuel pump output. Normal pressure would be 6-9 psi at the carb inlet.

The voltage regulator is located on the firewall, just right of center of the engine.
On a 1983 Volvo B23E engine, the ECU (Electronic Control Unit) is typically located in the passenger compartment, mounted on the driver's side under the dashboard. It is usually positioned above the kick panel, near the left side of the vehicle. Accessing it may require removing some trim pieces for better visibility.

It is inside the alternator which will have to removed and dismantled for replacement
