To adjust the hand brake cable on a Peugeot 106, first, ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the handbrake is released. Locate the adjustment nut typically found under the center console or near the rear brakes. Tighten or loosen the nut to achieve the desired tension, ensuring the handbrake engages securely after a few clicks but not overly tight. Finally, test the handbrake by engaging and ensuring it holds the vehicle in place.
