The outside temperature sensor is located on the front left side of the vehicle in the lower bumper area. There is a small hole in the bumper where the sensor simply sticks thru the hole and is held in place by a small, raised rubber ring around the end of the sensor. Should the sensor fall out of it's normal place, the temperature will not be correct as it is affected by engine heat.

In a 2000 GMC Jimmy, the overhead console outside temperature sensor is typically located in the front of the vehicle, near the windshield. It is often situated in the area of the rearview mirror or integrated into the vehicle's front grille. The sensor monitors ambient temperature and sends the data to the overhead console display. If you're having issues with the temperature reading, checking the wiring and connections around this area can be helpful.
