O2 or oxygen sensors are located on your exhaust right after the catylitic converter on the flex pipe one is on top "up" and theres on on bottom "down"

*******************

There are two Oxygen sensors on the 2002 Jetta. They are both attached to the exhaust pipe. One is located before the catalytic converter, and one after the catalytic converter.

The 'before' sensor can be found be raising the hood, and looking toward the rear center of the engine compartment. Stand on the passenger side near the front tire, and look toward the middle - you'll see a device with a cord coming out of it that resembles a spark plug. This is the 'before' sensor'.

The 'after' sensor you'll have to jack the car up to see. It's located roughly in the middle of the car front to back, just look for the little 'spark plug' type device with wires sticking out of it.
