Hi, if you have the older petrol 406 (pre 99 i think) which would be the XU engine on 1.8 or 2ltr it should be on the right hand side of the block as you look at it in the bend where the pipe going from the engine to the rad.. Got the same prob just havn't had the time/courage to do it yet as I'm new to working on cars. Good luck!! Josh
