It's hard to find and needs to be accessed from from under the engine compartment: Open your hood, look to the right of the yellow oil dipstick exactly 1 foot, deep under the radiator and other hoses is the green trans fluid dipstick. It is held in place by a 12mm bold. It is quite easy to access and check once the car is lifted.
In my 93 Isuzu Rodeo you have to add your transmission fluid buy poring it into the the transmission fluid dipstick.
Fluid is added through the dipstick tube.
In the dipstick pipe
For an automatic, the dipstick is only accessible from under the car. So, you have to jack the car up, or put it on a lift, then you should see a green plastic dipstick on the top of the transmission. It's seen from on the right side of the vehicle. What a poor design.
Auto? dipstick at rear of engine
Down the tube that holds trans dipstick.
On the 93 escort, brother to Tracer, there was only a breather valve at the top of the transmission and fluid needed to be added by removing an access bolt OR it had a small yellow dipstick at the top of the transmission.
if you can see the dipstick you put it in there if not there will be a tank in the engine
On my '94, I went through dipstick. Make sure you get the HONDA/ACURA fluid from the dealer.
you dump rite down the dipstick tube
On a 1993 Volvo 940, the transmission fluid is added through a dipstick tube located near the back of the engine bay, close to the transmission. To check or add fluid, remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and then pull it out again to check the level. If fluid is needed, use a funnel to pour the appropriate type of transmission fluid into the dipstick tube. Make sure the vehicle is level and the engine is running when checking fluid levels for accuracy.
Passenger side at the back of the engine, I think it's a yellow colored dipstick.
