In the 2005 Jaguar S-Type, the valet switch is typically located in the glove compartment. It is used to enable or disable the trunk release feature, allowing only valet personnel limited access to the vehicle's trunk. To access the switch, simply open the glove compartment and look for a small toggle or button. If you're having trouble locating it, refer to the owner's manual for specific guidance.
In the glove compartment.
Depends on what is wrong. I'd guess, however, that the problem is that you have stuffed your glove compartment too full and inadvertently depressed the "valet switch" button. See Valet Switch in this forum.
Driver side foot panel. There is a hole there to put your finger in and depress the switch. This works for a 2005 s type.
The valet switch is found in the glove compartment, very top, very front...just to the left of center. (Use a mirror and look up under. You can easily see the button). Push it in...if it stays it is now in the "on" position (Your interior luggage compartment lock/unlock button will not work). If it pops out, it is now "off" and your interior lock/unlock button opens the trunk.
