The steering colum adjustment motors need to be re normalized u might need to have some ome with the m/b scanner do it...
Try it ur self bring colum all the way up and hold for 3 sec than all the way down and same hold it for 3 sec then do the same in and out then take key out for a second and restart light should go out if not u need the m/b scanner if u have one and dont know how to do it go into the left front same module go into activations menu and u will see function the computer will move the steering wheel on its own

The 2000 Mercedes-Benz E3 20 crankshaft position in sensor is located on the back of the crankshaft. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to see the sensor.

The Crankshaft Position Sensor is located on the drivers side between the motor and the firewall. If it is faulty you may notice your car will not start, will turn off unexpectedly or will perform intermittently. Sounds like the neutral switch is out of position on the shifter or transmission
