If you open your door with the key, the horn will beep louder and faster until you turn on the ignition with the key. Its a security program. If you lock your door with the door lock, the electronic alarm will not be set, and you will not have that beep when you open the door with the key. of course the electronic alarm is not set- so hope nobody tries breaking into your vehicle.

You dont have to reset it. Just use the remote to turn it off. That is if u used the remote to set it. If u just locked it manually u can put the door key in the deiver side door turn it twice to open all locks
If you lost the keys and you can prove that you are the titled owner. The Chrysler dealer can order an ignition key with the VIN number. You may have to have the door locks replaced, if the door key is different from the ignition key. If that fails, try an auto electric shop to get the locks changed, maybe even a locksmith.

stick the key in the passenger door and turn it make sure all the doors are closed
lock the door using the key. If you turn to lock twice, to lock all doors, the alarm automatically sets. Turn key twice on unlock to turn alarm off. Unless, like mine, that doesn't work and only the rear hatchback unlock turns the alarm off.
