Depends on year, make, and model. Just because the car stalls doesnt mean that its the temperature that is the problem. Can be hundreds of reasons. A common one is the alternator isn't charging the battery which is therefor not running the engine. This causes your engine to not get the electrical service that it needs to stay running. Mercedes, i noticed... that going to cost quite a bit to get fixed. Oh well, I hope that help you.
Your car's operating temperature should be 192 degrees.
Typically the thermostats in this type of car has a normal operating temperature of 195 degrees.
No, not as long as the engine is allowed to reach normal operating temperature.
If your car stalls when it reaches normal operating temperature, you might have a problem with your distributor coil. You could also have an issue with the fuel filter since you ran out of gas recently.
stalling, but not often?
Normal operating temperature 650-750 RPM it should be between 0.5 and 1
If your 1994 Ford Aspire stalls when reaching normal operating temperature, it could be due to several issues. Common causes include a malfunctioning idle air control valve, faulty coolant temperature sensor, or problems with the fuel system, such as a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump. Additionally, ignition system issues, like a worn-out ignition coil or spark plugs, could also lead to stalling when the engine heats up. A thorough diagnostic check can help pinpoint the exact cause.
Sounds like it could be a bad thermostat - not closing to allow engine to heat to normal operating temperature
If thermostat does not open - Vehicle will overheat in a short time - no heat If thermostat does no close - vehicle will not get to normal operating temperature - no heat
After coolant is added run vehicle to normal operating temperature and re-check coolant level
If the stat is stuck open, your car will slowly overheat and not reach normal operating temperature, if it is stuck closed it will overheat very quickly.
From 20 to 40 pounds PSI when the engine is at full operating temperature is normal. Any reading below 20 PSI may be cause for alarm.
