If your Opel Corsa isn't revving cleanly, it could be due to several factors, such as a clogged air filter, fuel delivery issues, or a malfunctioning throttle body. Additionally, problems with the ignition system, like worn spark plugs or ignition coils, can affect engine performance. It's also worth checking for any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that might indicate specific issues. Regular maintenance and diagnostics can help pinpoint the exact cause.
YES,IF YOU DO IT RIGHT
An Opel Corsa that idles but won't rev or move could be experiencing several issues. Common causes include a malfunctioning throttle position sensor, a blocked fuel filter, or a failing mass airflow sensor. Additionally, problems with the transmission, such as low fluid levels or a faulty transmission control module, could prevent the vehicle from engaging properly. It's advisable to perform a diagnostic check to pinpoint the exact issue.

rev limiter
Rev. limiter?
The rev limiter makes it so it wont over rev and the bike doesent blow up
The icv is located next to the rev cable.
If the vehicle is in neutral or park and it doesn't rev over half throttle, it is the rev limiter (governor). That is normal.
Didnt say what year or whether petrol or diesel. Either way, most modern cars have "rev limiter", which is essentially an electronic governor that makes the car "idiotproof"...i.e. does not allow you to rev past recommended engine speeds lest mechnical fault (bursting engine, so to speak)...
