The cooling fans have a failsafe mode to make them operate at all times in case of problems. Chances are there's a break in the temperature sensor circuit. Remove, clean and refit plugs around fuel filter.
It is probably your cooling fans. These are electric and may run with the engine turned off. It is probably your cooling fans. These are electric and may run with the engine turned off.
Because quite a lot of the energy used by a combustion engine gets turned into heat whether we want it or not, so a cooling system is needed to keep the engine from overheating.
we have had problems starting our car which turned out to be a transponder fault but it flashed up engine immobilizer on the dash. the part cost about £6 but it cost £90 to have the problem diagnosed on the computer at the citroen garage!
Maybe your cooling system needs to be flushed out.
Engine hot and fan cooling it down?Fan temperature sensor bad and it just thinks engine is hot and needs to be cooled down
The cooling fans on your 1999 Jaguar may continue to run after the engine is turned off to help dissipate heat from the engine and prevent overheating. This is a normal function designed to protect the engine components, especially if the engine was running hot or if the ambient temperature is high. The fans are controlled by a temperature sensor that activates them when needed, even after the ignition has been turned off. If the fans run excessively or for an unusually long time, it may indicate a malfunction in the cooling system or the temperature sensor.
It forms the 'body' of the engine - it is a lump of metal machined to take the crank shaft, oil and cooling ducts and the pistons. It is where the 'explosions' of ignited fuel are contained and turned into rotary motion.
When the a/c is turned on in any auto it makes the engine work harder, this will tend to heat the engine more. Make sure that your cooling system in the car is running properly, and is full of cooling fluids.
Check your cooling fan
I assume your talking about the engine fan, not the cabin fan. The engine fan is designed to come on only when the engine gets hot enough for it. I.E. the fan won't turn on in the dead of winter, or if you just start your car. The fan will turn on whenever the A/C is turned on though, as part of the Air cooling system.
The cooling fans in a Mazda Tribute are controlled by the engine control module (ECM) based on engine temperature and the demands of the air conditioning system. The ECM receives input from temperature sensors and activates the fans when the engine reaches a certain temperature or when the air conditioning is turned on. Additionally, the cooling fan relay plays a crucial role in powering the fans on and off as directed by the ECM.
Whenever the AC is turned on, both cooling fans also come on. Otherwise, during normal operation only one fan comes on when activated to maintain correct engine temp.
