If it is a diesel engine it could be the glow plugs.
Get in car. Put key in ignition switch. Turn key.
Your engine might be the source of the problem, rather than the battery. However, only a mechanic could tell you for sure.
To bleed a diesel pump on a Vauxhall Astra, first ensure the fuel tank has sufficient diesel. Locate the bleed screw on the fuel pump, usually near the fuel filter. Using a wrench, loosen the bleed screw slightly and turn the ignition key to the "on" position without starting the engine, allowing the fuel to flow and air to escape. Once you see a steady stream of fuel without bubbles, tighten the bleed screw and attempt to start the engine.
To fit a towbar to a 2005 Vauxhall Astra van, first, ensure you have the correct towbar kit designed for your model. Start by removing the rear bumper to access the mounting points. Attach the towbar to the vehicle's chassis using the provided bolts, ensuring all connections are secure. Finally, reconnect the bumper and test the electrical connections for the trailer lights if applicable.

It's either the switch, a connector, wiring or the bulb(s). It's impossible to tell you which so you'll have to start a little sleuthing.
To remove the aerial from the roof of a Vauxhall Astra, start by gently prying off any decorative cover or cap that may be concealing the base of the aerial. Next, use a suitable tool, like a wrench or socket, to unscrew the aerial from its mounting. Once it's loose, carefully pull it out of the roof socket. Finally, check for any wiring and disconnect it if necessary before fully removing the aerial.
To fit a clutch slave cylinder on a Vauxhall Astra, start by safely lifting and securing the vehicle. Remove the old slave cylinder by disconnecting the hydraulic line and unbolting it from the transmission. Install the new slave cylinder by securing it in place and reconnecting the hydraulic line, ensuring there are no leaks. Finally, bleed the clutch system to remove any air and verify proper operation before lowering the vehicle.
If this engine is an interference engine it may have done damage to valve, piston, or head. Or the timing is off so far that the engine will not start. Install a new timing belt correctly and start the engine. You will then know if any damage was done.
