Both because it is called a relationship and both sides work together. Even if one person did something horrible, the other one is somewhat responsible because the one committing the act was pushed to do it for some reason. The guy and the girl have to work together, and therefore if it fails, both are responsible. I do not see how you can blame a break up on one person. The reason for a break up always deals with both the guy and the girl.
