Friends with benefits is when you have a friend who you routinely make out with and/or have sex with. It is casual sex, without the commitment of a serious romantic relationship.

A friend with benefits comes by from time to time, usually late at night, to have sex and just hang out. They don't call you every night, or take you out to dinner, and you definitely don't meet their parents or anything like that.

Basically, a friend with benefits is more than a friend, but not quite a boyfriend/girlfriend.
It means in simple terms to make-out with your friend but not be in a relationship. In other terms you guys just make-out or kiss to your heart's content but they don't want a relationship.
Generally, when someone says "She's a friend with benefits", they are referring to the fact that, although she may just be a friend and there is no further commitment, they are sometimes sexually intimate.
Well, to be straight-up about it, it's basically a friend but no real relationship with him or her with sexual activities.
Friends with benefits is when you have a friend, or friends and they are in a way 'more than friends' and you can do things, as such. Generally, because there is no commitment involved, is why people choose to do this.
