Can 13 year olds fall in love?

In love, yes. Love, maybe. To be "in love" means to see the other person as someone who can fulfill desires for you. To "love" means that you are willing to make sacrifices and accomodations for that person for no other reason than to see them happy. At 13, when hormones and fantasies rage, being "in love" means fulfilling grand dreams. However, at 13, "loving" someone means sacrificing one's own desires. Can a 13-year-old do that without having the experience and learning necessary? Yes, if EXTREMELY mature. However..and listen... just because YOU might be mature enough doesn't mean the OTHER person is...got that? Advice: do not tell someone you love them or are in love with them until you are at least 16; you will save yourself a lot of heartache. Instead, tell yourself that you REALLY like that person, enjoy their company, and admit to yourself that sex probably is a big motivator. Then, wait. Even if the other person says that they love you, and even if you reciprocate, that's probably as far as commitment can go at 13. I was 13. I know.

I'm sure they can, but be careful it's not a crush. I am not trying to be a downer, but the chances are slim to impossible that people that young are ready for "love." Even people older than this are not ready or mature enough. Just wait.

Absolutely! but don't expect to be having kids the second you declare your love for her. just ask her out on a date such as a moive,play,or just a walk by a lake pond or beach. then start talking about the two of you and tell her. if shes nervous. BACK OFF. if she says it back...well then that's where the kissing comes in. but that's a WHOLE different deal. so dudes, be cool stay strong and sweep her off her feet.

I find it hard to decide whether or not you are 'in love' but i know from my experiences right now, that when you truly love someone, it's like nothing else matters. When they're sick, you want to be right by their side until they get better. If they play a sport, you'd be the girlfriend (or boyfriend) sitting out in the pouring rain to watch their game. It's truly wonderful knowing that someone cares for you, and once you develop the deeper feelings, you know when you're in love.

Uhmmm, My opinion is to get a girlfriend/boyfriend when you are at least 15 but if you go out with the person you like,I don't prefer kissing already...just take it slow.
