No once a person is 18 their parents have no control over their affairs.

However, the parents can impose such conditions (curfews, passwords, house rules, etc.) as requirements if the adult child chooses to continue living in their home and/or depending on them financially.

What should you think when your boyfriend of a year and nine months does not allow you to have his password?

If you think anything of it, you should think your boyfriend is very smart. Why would you even think he should give you his password? Husbands and wives don't even give their spouse their passwords. Giving your password to anyone defeats the purpose of passwords, which is to keep your accounts private and protected.
