Yes, Tennessee has a "No Duty to Retreat" law and if you are at home and you believe that you are under imminent threat you may retaliate with any force necessary to eliminate the threat.

In regards to the above, most states do not permit you to shoot someone simply for being on your property. A couple states have the "make my day" law which applies in instances of uninvited persons entering your property at night, but the castle law doctrine applies inside your home or vehicle (in some states, it applies to your place of work, as well), and they do not permit the use of lethal force for someone simply being on your property, just as the law doesn't permit the use of lethal force against simple assault, in instances which you provoked, or for the sake of defending property.
