You have to wear all of your permanent awards. The only thing that you do wear and is not permanent is the unit crests. You also wear the unit awards if you belonged to that unit when the award was received.

I don't think there would be a problem. The photo is just a head shot a collar may be seen, but nothing more ( the photo is usually ugly too). I wouldn't worry about it.
