In the 1950s, some of the most popular drinks were Coca-Cola, Pepsi-Cola, milkshakes, coffee, and cocktails like the Martini and the Old Fashioned.

I guess it depends on the woman. There are some that are bold or comfortable enough that they like it as often as any man does & they have no problem admitting it. There are also women who are more reserved & old fashioned. Like I said, depends on the woman:)
Tell them to be like those women they need to eathealthy foods. If they don't eat, they won't be like those women.
Council housing was demolished in cities like Liverpool in the 1950s and 1960s. It was public housing rented to those who could not affort to rent other housing.
Not as many as they would gradually get beginning in the late 1960s, when the women's movement (also called Second Wave Feminism) began to take off. In the 1950s, women were still expected to stay at home and be housewives and mothers. Women could (and did) work part-time, but usually in low-paying office jobs or as cashiers, maids, etc. Of course, women did have the right to vote and the right to express themselves (there were some women authors, some women entertainers, and even a few women in non-traditional occupations like law); but over all, the culture of the 1950s was very traditional and expected most women to focus on the domestic sphere.
Life in Liverpool in the 1950s was grim
Popular drinks from the 1950s included cocktails like the Martini, Old Fashioned, and Mai Tai, as well as sodas like Coca-Cola and Pepsi. These drinks have influenced modern beverage trends by inspiring new cocktail creations and sparking a revival of classic cocktails. Additionally, the popularity of sodas in the 1950s laid the foundation for the booming soft drink industry we see today.

In the 1950s, schools were much more rigid than what we have today. Children who didn't mind could be punished by swatting and the books and activities available to children were much less imaginative than those used in many schools today.
