Lets start by saying both guys and girls cheat.

Sometimes when someone cheats on their partner it's because they don't feel satisfied/happy with the situation them and their partner are in, so they meet another person with whom they feel satisfied. The "situation" could be anything from falling out of love to losing a child.

However there are those who like to just run around, think it's a big thing to have more than one woman/guy on the go. Although it can be pretty distressing for the people who cheat like that, I mean a fair chunk of them do it because they have various issues from the past or don't know any better.

There are other reasons people cheat but you're most likely to find its one of those.

Now, to answer your question: Cheating may seem exciting and risky for a little while, but soon enough it all comes crashing down. Most people who cheat don't feel guilty, have both partners involved find out, lose both of them (or at least the one they care about most) as a result, this is most terrible because they realise being with the person they're cheating with seemed exciting when cheating with them, but now it's just them and that person it doesn't look exciting at all. Some people do feel guilty though and actually can't handle the pressures that come with cheating, these are usually the people who cheated because they were seeking comfort.

So the answer is, sure, humans love taking risks and cheating is one of them, but eventually no one likes cheating.
