It's good to think about the mistakes made in the past long enough to decide how you can avoid making them again, but dwelling on mistakes made in the past often results in regrets and possibly bitterness and resentments. Instead, it's best to make every day the best it can be, make good choices in the here-and-now, and let the past stay the past.
