No. Not in the USA at least.
Federal law ruled that spousal consent is not required for a woman to get a tubal ligation. However, there are some state and local laws which are written in such a way that it can still be an issue. In addition, privately owned hospitals as well as individual physicians have a right to refuse to perform the procedure without spousal consent.
I have been doing a lot of research on line, and it appears that there are many factors that can effect your tubal ligation. for instance, the younger you are when you get your tubes tied, the more chance you have of them "healing" and becoming pregnant again, which can often happen up to and over 10 years after the tubal. also different tubal methods have different failure rates, but NONE OF THEM ARE 100% infact some sites state as many as 1 in 200 women can fall pregnant after a tubal ligation. thats ALOT! When you sign your papers for your tubal, it actually states that it isnt 100% I had my tubal done 5 years ago, and I am currently feeling very odd.
No, if I were you, I'd go see a doctor as soon as possible. It isn't usually normal for a healty woman not to have a period. Well I personally had my tubes tied in June of 2005 and just had my first "REAL" period last week January 16, 2006, so yes it is possible and I was not pregnant and still am not pregnant. I had my tubes burned. if you were breast feeding then you have a good chance of not getting one for a while.
Spotting at mid-cycle could be a sign of just about anything from pregnancy, to a fibroid tumor, or other medical conditions. In short, check with your OB-GYN.
not likely will that happen.......doctor's these days perform better surgeries then they did back then if you had your tubes tied, cut, and burnt then you should'nt have that problem.
The sindur means that she is married. It's a sign of her husband.
