The younger generation was brought up in a time where it appeared as if every thing they wanted was handed to them on a silver platter. People rarely recognize the struggles that this generation goes through. Due to the stereotypical idea that they have life easy, people expect above and beyond what should be expected from someone their age. Along with this, many teenagers don't fall into this stereotypical group, I personally worked 40 hours a week, went to school over 8 hours a day, varsity fieldhockey captain, class president, 20th in my graduation class of 400+, along with another handful of clubs and organizations. Yes I got a decent amount of money to go to school yet I'm still increasing my debt by $20,000 each and every year. I am just one of the hundreds of thousands of kids suffering through the same exact thing. I can honestly say the younger generation cares about the traditional values not only in relationships but also just throughout life in general, but it is hard to balance everything when you already have so much on your plate. Even though your job and school should come second to your family and morals, there is nothing you can do.
