HOW TO GAIN trust?

I am not responsible for anyone else's feelings. If I have done something or acted in a way that has broken trust ~ the best thing I can do is to apologise ~ and mean it!

Then it is up to the other person to get over their hurt feelings in their own way . That might mean taking a break from the friendship for a little while or being a bit cool in their response to me.

In the past I've felt impatient with the amount of time that it takes someone else to warm to me again so that we can rebuild trust between us. Sometimes I've sought to hurry this process by asking; " are you alright?" " are we OK again?" .

In one instance that was enough to fan the flames of the original issue and the relationship burnt to a frazzle !

Just because I have done something that has lost me the trust of another person does not automatically mean they have the higher moral ground either!

We are all human and capable of being clumsy and willful.

If I hurt someone else the most I can do is make amends and forgive myself for being fallible .

Receiving forgiveness is in the hands and the heart of the other person.

Establishing trust is quite simple. you must simply be accountable. if your mom asks you to do something in a timely manner and you get it done. she may trust you more with different tasks. if you are alway there for a friend they in turn will return the favor. if you are entrusted with money for a company and you always deliver. bam!! your trustworthy. never lie, always be honest and trust is easy to establish.

Trust and condifence come by telling the truth and standing by your morals. In order for someone to trust you, you must be honest, and for you to trust someone in return will come if they are honest. Confidence comes by surrounding yourself with people who love, or compliment you. The ones who are there for you no matter what, help build your confidence, but really its within you to do everything to be confident. Compliments make you happy temporarily, but only you can choose wether you are going to be happy or not, confident or not.

The key thing you need to remember is that you have to take everything very slow and be open with each other. Talk about any problems you may have and don't hide any secrets.

You also have to learn to believe what your partner says. For example, if they say "I'm going out with friends.", believe it. Don't jump to conclusions like "They are cheating on me!"

Moreover, you MUST be able to act like friends as well as lovers. Having fun and being able to talk is the most important thing before you think about the romance side!

So, just take every day as it comes and don't give in to negative thoughts. Talk to each other and be completely open and you will notice that you will have a strong, trusting and happy relationship.
