I'm stumped. Can you help answer this question?
I can only comment from my own experience and that of my friends. Put simply;
1. Pray and tell God you want to know Him better.
2. Read the New Testament of The Bible (I'd start with the book of Luke). If you don't have a Bible you can read it at
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Luke%201%20;&version=46;
3. As you read it, think how Jesus would have felt in the stories. What was He trying to explain to people? Does what He is saying relate to your life in some way? Do you currently follow what He is recommending? If not, why not try it? As you read other books of the Bible (eg. Romans) ask "What can I learn about God from this?"
4. If you don't understand something, or disagree with something, make a note of it, put it aside and get on with other issues. As you get to know God better you may understand but don't give up because you don't understand or disagree with something(s).
5. There are many books that can help you. One famous one, available free on the web is by Catholic monk Brother Lawrence. I am not a Catholic but he gives a good example of how he discovered intimacy with God.

I would read the real thing - even if you only read part of it, but that's up to you.
6. Above all, keep seeking. Developing an intimate relationship with anyone takes time. You are unlikely to be zapped straight into wonderful intimacy or knowledge of God. It is something that develops gradually the more time you spend getting to know God.
7. I have found attending a local church helps. Often some personal one-to-one advice and discussion with one person or a group who are seeking, or preferably have found, more intimacy with God can help a lot. But be selective. Some churches are very good and others are not so good. Visit a number of churches and see which one has members who have the most intimacy with God. Also see which one helps you the most.
Developing intimacy with God has been the best experience of my life, and has helped in every other area of my life as well. I pray that will be your experience too. I will be happy to respond further if you have other questions.
Jesus said "The people who have my commands and keep them, they are the ones who love me. Those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them."
Yes, he always called God his God. this made him feel closer and in a closer relationship with God.
Of course you can. You can always get closer to God :)
because it brings you closer to God and it is a big sacrament of our faith
No we were closer to god when it all started in the Bible but we are always with god.
When Patrick was being held as a slave in Ireland he learned that the only person he could turn to for help was God. He started praying day and night for help to escape and became closer and closer to God. God answered his prayers and he was able to escape.
Start talking to Him and ask for guidance.
No, yoga means "communion"--it can bring you closer to God.
To feel closer to God.
They feel closer to God.
God cares that we are coming closer to him, so if our conversion brings us closer to God, then yes, he cares. Finding God is a journey, and the only way that we can really know where he wants us to be is by praying about it and asking him to guide us. He will... we just have to listen when he does.
