How can you tell if it's true love?

True love is identifiable if you ask. If the person truly loves you, they will share their feelings, thoughts, and ideas. don't be fooled by the girls that are hot either. If there's one thing I've learned, it's that sometimes the hottest ones are the ones that leave for another (though not always). It really just depends on the person and their personality.

Love is simply very fickle. If he's attentative to you and gives you nice compliments. If you have fun together and he fits in with your friends and family. If he has good manners and thinks of you and treats others with the respect they give him. These are superficial signs of course because we don't know ourselves 100% so we can't be expected to know others 100%. The only way I could tell when it was the real thing with my first boyfriend (we were 17 at the time now was when he was in a gasoline explosion at a gas station and in the burn ward for 3 months. I went up every single day (twice a day) and talked to him. At one point he wanted to split-up because he thought he'd end up having terrible scars, but that didn't bother me and I was sticking it out. Thankfully he didn't have too many scars (for his sake) because they were flash burns. I married that young man at the age of almost 22, but, something changed inside of him and he change, not me! Unfortunately our marriage ended in divorce. My second husband has been seriously sick once before and again now. I am right by his side 100% and I have always known I loved him, but now this is the big stamp of approval because I'm there 100% for him. I'm like a wounded grizzly getting answers from doctors, etc., regarding his health and I'll steam roll over anyone that gets in the way of me getting him some proper health care. Sometimes it takes something very serious to prove to us just how much we do care about our mate.
