Threatening phone calls Stalking you Leaving threatening letters/notes in your mail box. Phoning your place of employment Following you around by car Death threats Threats of kidnapping Threats of doing any bodily harm to you or your loved ones. Destroying any piece of property you may own such as breaking windows, getting into your home or apartment and destroying furniture or clothing or damaging your car. Threats towards your family or friends.

Take this seriously! If this is what is happening and you have been threatened go to a "Women's Abuse Center" for some good advice. The police can do little until this person actually does some bodily harm to you. That's the law unfortunately.

Try not to go out alone too often (especially at night) and try to have a friend or family member with you. Large dogs accompanying you are also a good thing. If you feel you are being followed while driving pull into a well lit gas station and ask for help. In most cases the person following you does not want attention drawn to them.

If you are getting tape recorded messages on your cell phone tape them! If they are phoning you and you have "speaker phone" on your telephone tape them! Give the tapes (keep a copy for yourself) to the police and they will track the caller down through the telephone company. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR TELEPHONE #! This is the only way you have any idea what this person is up to and the only way a police officer (or detective) can listen to the threats this person is sending you. Keep any letters or notes this person may be leaving you.

Please be careful. If this person has broken even one of these points I have made above, please seek out some help.

I am not trying to make you paranoid at all, but take any threat from this person very seriously. Protect yourself! You can buy pepper spray at most hardware stores. Keep it handy!
