Long answer: Some guys (and girls) just don't do the complimenting thing. It could be a pride thing, it could be a style thing, whatever it is, it's their personality and there's nothing you can do about it. Some people like to pretend they're too cool to give others the time of day, even if they have crushes on those others. Furthermore, this guy might not think you're pretty, so trying to get him to compliment you would be useless. I don't know why you'd want to be complimented so bad, unless you have self esteem issues, but if the guy is just having trouble noticing "your prettiness", wink at him, or tease your hair when he looks at you.
