I'm sorry if i hurt you in any way, but if he's dating someone else then don't intervene. Sure let him know that your available if they break up, but don't cause the breakup. continue to be friends with him but don't try to make it anything else. It's ok to secretly pray that they break up, but do NOT do anything that would cause them to break up, it'll cause too much trouble in the long run, especially if you two were to date.
Just be patient, who knows, maybe you'll find someone else or fate turns your way. :)
