The only way to ask someone out is straight forward. Any other way could make it seem like you aren't serious. Before you ask her out, make sure that you like her for who she is as well.

Im a girl, and we hate it when guys make it all secretive. just flirt with her a little, be really nice, and after a couple of weeks just get enough courage to ask her out.

In tenth grade i was dead set on dating a cheerleader who just broke up with the school's biggest defensive lineman. I wasnt a football player but i was a great person who was friends with anyone no matter who they were. I was going to ask her out one day, but after talking to her for a while she came off as snobby, rude and ignorant. If you are sure you want her, talk to her first your feelings may change like mine did. Once you have been friends for a while, ask to move on a little further. If she says no, it happend for a reason so just move on.

PS: since she is the most popular girl in school, she may be friends with a LOT of guys, this will make you jealous like no other especially if you dont know them.
