How do you ask out a girl who you have been good friends with for a while?

Ask to go somewhere light, like maybe coffee, a fast-food lunch or something else non-threatening. Make it something that's not QUITE like a date, more like a friendly outing. Build up to a real date slowly. That way if she doesn't want to be more than friends, you won't loose out, AND you won't feel quite as uncomfortable asking her out.

In my opinion you don't. Unless you are FOR SURE not friend zoned, because if she doesnt feel the same way it could get EXTREMELY awkward to the point of screwing up a friendship.

If you're still gonna go for it: Just make it casual. Ask her to hang out first off, like at the movies or whatever. Easy peasy, not necessarily a date. If you can, hold her hand or something during the "hang out"or make a small move. Seriously, don't do anything awkward or twitchy. That's incorrect.

That's the basis of what needs to go on. If the hang out went well, and you think she likes you, go ahead and ask her out. No big deal.

Just be yourself and be brave. Well you said you known her for a while? Well, tha just makes things easier, maybe you could just like talk to her in person like you usually do and just ask her out. Don't be shy, what if she has same feelings as you?

Just be bold and tell them how you feel! Maybe they even feel the same way but they were too shy! It may be a little awkward afterwards if you are rejected, but friends are supposed to tell other friends how they feel!
