There's a few ways to do it. Here's the most common:

  1. There is "derivative citizenship", which is a legal process to acquire citizenship through your parents. The law is different depending on when you were born, so I can't give specifics here- but the requirements are generally that you have to get a permanent resident card (also known as a "green card"), and at least one of your parents must have naturalized- and all of this has to happen before you turn 18.
  2. You can legally immigrate to the US, go through the whole process (which involves paying a lot of expensive fees, living in the US for 5 years, taking a difficult test, etc), and get a Certificate of Naturalization.
  3. There are ways to shorten the time needed for #2. Serving in the US Military is one way; you can have your contract state that once you finish that contract, you become a citizen. Another way is to marry a US citizen- in this case, the 5 year waiting period drops to 3 years (but other requirements stay mostly the same).
