How do you break up with you boyfriend who's obsessed with you?

RUN! If a boy is obsessed you have to get out! He is just trying to control you so you fall that in love with him, he is trying to make you the one he loves and him the one you love. I have personal experience of this and no matter how charming the word "love" sounds, find out the sincerity levels behind the word.

It is a very unhealthy relationship when a person is obsessed with another. It's abnormal and it comes under the heading of "abuse." People who become obsessed with their partner think nothing of spying, asking friends where that person has been, or keeping that person on a tight rein. They are not comfortable with you going out with your friends and and will ruin your life. It's best to break-up with this person. If you love them, then talk to them and if they don't go for help then you have to move on. Okay I am not a genius...but i have had to deal with some pretty freaky guys at school...and the only thing i can tell you is ignore them... (DONT date them)...if they are bothering you tell a friend, teacher, or an adult...if it gets to the point to where you have to call the authorities...well....somethings happen....protect yourself....

Be straight forward. Take him aside (doing this in front of your friends or his is unnecessarily rude, not to mention cruel) and calmly and plainly tell him that you do not want or appreciate his attention and ask him to please stop harassing you. If his behaviour does not improve, speak to someone about it.

When a person is obsessive there are only a few things you can do. The first thing you have to realize that a person with this disorder responds to negative comments in the same way as they respond to positive. ANY response is seen by them as positive, so you CAN NOT talk to them, call them, write them or respond in any way. Doing so will just encourage them. Get the book Gift of Fear and read chapter 8 he describes very well the obsessive behavior and what to do when this happens. Follow his directions. They work. I know I used them once.

Obsession in a relationship is a very bad thing. There is a fine line between obsession and the normal feeling in the start of a relationship. If you suspect that you are obsessed or that your partner is obsessed with you then you need to seek help. An obsessed partner can become very dangerous very quickly. Some domestic violence issues are due to obsession and most abusers are obsessed. It is .not the end of a relationship but if you don't seek help it can get a whole lot worse.

Call local police and report. you may asked the police if they can advice you.
