I am having the same issue right now. The only thing I can think of right now is to make yourself the center of attention 24/7. You should always try to be better than the other. Show off your best possible capabilities. Show your parents that your better than your sibling. A way of doing that is to talk a lot and say how great grades you have in school, etc., etc. Maybe you should join a club that would make your parents proud, but also make sure it is far away. That way they have to make the whole day about you.
