ha i am fairly sure that the answer above me isn't what you were looking for. i was 11 once not too long ago, and trust me i was wondering the same thing. i tried asking him but got rejected so i tried a different less talking approach. try talking to him first, like flirt alittle, and then if he is mean back he either doesnt like you or he really likes you and is afraid to admit it. then if you think he likes you, do what i did ha i wrote a love note to him in class saying do you like me yes or no and the first time i got no, the second time he put yes, you just have to keep trying at it, don't get discouraged if he says no, there is prolly some guy who likes you and would do anything for you, he is just plain scared most likely

Okay, the answer above is not that great. Do not ask them a lot of times. There is a boy right now who keeps on asking me out, he at least asks me out twice a month. I've told him im not interested, but he still doesnt listen. so i finally said "No" now hes saying hes going to commit suicide.

Really, it is simple enough to just directly ask him. Assuming that he is past the immature stages of cooties and thinking girls are weird and gross, and that you are reasonably attractive, then he won't refuse, they never do. It does not really matter if he even noticed you before, because having a girlfriend is such a position to be desired that actual love for the girl isn't really an obstacle. Sure it seems a little easy and empty, but that's how it really is for preteens. It probably won't last that long anyway. So just find somewhere that the two of you can be alone together and ask him. If (but probably when) he says yes, the best way to keep his attention would be a hug and a kiss. Get active quickly (but not TOO active) before his attention is diverted and he ignores you. Go for it girl, and enjoy it while you can.

You should probably get him away from everyone and all his friends, flirt with him a little and ask him out.

Well, actually I am on this kind of problem too. I am only 11 years old and I have a crush on this boy at my school. The solution to this problem is simple, actually depends how brave you are).First of all you have to be gentle to ask a boy out and let them know how you feel about him(just don't be like me that I go,"Hey dude I like you!
