Be yourself. Middle school is tough enough with all the changes you experience. There is no need to put more on yourself by not being true to who you are.

Look for girls who have similar interests. Keep your ears open and you will be surprised by what you learn. That's right, I told you to dip on the conversations of others. Just use some common sense when you do. If two people are talking about private matters, leave the dipping for another time. And, always, always keep what you hear to yourself. When you have found her, take your time and find an opportunity to let her know you have similar interests (When you know she likes Disturbed too, wear that shirt your parents hate so much).

Oh, sensitive issue here, one of the changes you are going through is hormonal. That means as a middle schooler your body has discovered odor. Find a scent that suits you, something mild, and use it before school, after Phys. Ed. class and games, and before you go to the dances. Shower often--with soap.
