First of all you have to stop seeing yourself as unattractive. If you don't like yourself no one else will know how to. No one is unattractive it is just that we all have different tastes. You probably like people your friends don't and vice versa. You need to have confidence in yourself, other's will see this confidence and you will automatically become more appealing to people.

You should always be straightforward with girls. Do not lie to make yourself seem cool or "da bomb". In the end, they will always find out. If they don't, they will eventually when a situation causes your lie to be exposed in an awkward way.

Always be honest and be yourself. If they don't like you for who you are, they're not worthy of your love. A girl with a nice character won't care if you're not Brad Pitt, as long as you love her with your entire heart.

I can't really offer any dating advice, as each girl likes different things. A good thing to do, though, is find out what kind of flowers she likes a lot (by asking one of your friends who knows a friend who knows a friend of hers, haha) and getting her a bouquet. Just wait until she's alone (for instance, when she's putting stuff in her locker after school) and hand her the flowers. Don't try using a "sexy" opening sentence, just say something along the lines of "Hey, I heard you like these flowers, so I got you some. I hope you like them."

There is no such thing as an ugly guy there is always an inner and outer beauty. But if the guy made bad decisions, mistakes, or even bad manners then there is no inner beauty or outer. The inner part is what has to be beautiful when it is. Be yourself around the girl and see if she likes you. Ask her out. If she says no, she doesn't deserve you. If she says yes, go for it. Don't let the friendship end if the relationship does.
