How do you help a sister who has been cheated on?

• Being cheated on obviously hurts the one left behind and other than a shoulder to cry on and listening to what your sister has to say there isn't much you can do and the road she must take is a lonely one, but, she will learn from it and be more cautious with the next person she has a relationship with. When someone you love hurts you it's almost like the grieving process an individual would go through if they lost someone to death. In ways it is a death; the person she loved has moved on leaving her alone and all she has is some good memories of that relationship. She will cry for awhile; be depressed; may feel it's her fault and she didn't do enough to keep him; but, suddenly she will think things out when her head is clearer and know that she gave him her all and did the best she could and he had the problem. This may make her angry enough to realize he's not the only fish in the sea and she deserves much better and she will meet that special someone she should be with. Sometimes individuals have to go down some bumpy roads when it comes to relationships to get to the light where the right person is waiting. With each failed relationship it leaves an 'imprint' on that individual and they hopefully learn from that experience. Your sister is very lucky to have you and I think she knows that.
