Okay, Im in the same scenario, but on the girl's end. I like my best-guy-friend but im not gonna tell him that! I try to "hint" him how close he is to me by saying that, instead of saying "I like you, marry me" or something crazy I hope and hint. She most likely is trying to "hint" you, that she likes you! Coming from a girl, I would ask her out! The worst she can say is no. If you really are her best-guy-friend, she wont treat you like dirt. and if she does say no, (she most likely wont) it wont be awkwerd unless you want it to be.
