This is a difficult questions because "users/abusers" are so good at masking real reasons why they are with someone such as yourself. If you are moderately wealthy then your problem isn't such a tough one, but if you're rich beware!
Many wealthy people, if they can, will not advertize the fact they are wealthy. They will live in a moderate home (while having a second home off in the country somewhere ... an estate) and they drive older cars while their sports cars sit in the garages back at the country Estate. If you are very wealthy I suggest you try the above and don't be too quick with your heart to spoil others or advertize you are independendly wealthy.
Money is the root of all evil and it can be tough to know who remains true to you. This person could be overly nice to you and try getting on the good side of you, but then again, perhaps the person is just one heck of a good person.
Try a little test on this person. If you are paying the bills for this person and spoiling them, back off for a bit. See the reaction you get. If this person becomes slightly disinterested in you or is foxy about getting gifts or money out of you, then dump them.
If this relationship doesn't work out I would like to suggest to you that when you are out there trying to find that special someone don't discuss your finances with them in any way, shape or form. Don't be so quick to ask them back to your place of residence especially if you live in an expensive home. Don't run around in fancy cars either. That's a dead give-away.
