The standard ring worn by Irish men and women in Ireland when they are married is just a plain gold band. You may be referring to the Claddagh ring, but that is not a wedding ring. Some people may include a Claddagh design on their ring, but most rings are completely plain. A Claddagh ring can be worn by anyone, married or not.

What are different ways to wear a claddagh ring?

You wear it following the same rules as a Claddagh ring. (with the heart facing out and the crown towards your body saying that you are single looking for love/ With the heart facing towards your body shows that you are dating) if you are not married, it is traditional to wear your ring(or in this case bracelet) on your right arm and move it to your left when you are married. Although I am from a strong Irish family, I choose to wear my bracelet on the left hand because it is solid gold and since I am right handed, it hinders my weighting sometimes. Or you can wear the bracelet just to show your Irish heritage or as remembrance for someone and not use it to show your romantic standing.
